To me fresh paint looks like trying to cover up something. Unless its going to be put in a museum theres nothing wrong with a clean original paint machine. Sounds like it's been well cared for. I think a new cab kit would more than pay for itself. They're only a couple hundred bucks and it will be ready for the new owner to put to work
