What about my peeve for i.d.'ing the parts person with a name when they answer customer phone? Not just...."PARTS..."?
Sometimes, after i.d.'ing myself with my real name, I ask the parts person on the other end, 'who am I speaking with?". Their answer is still..."This is PARTS, can I help you...."
Their ambiguity is needlessly obvious.
50 years ago there was no need to ask name of parts person. He was the same guy that had been there for 30+ years already. Today high turnover rate seems common in most cases. |
