Independence OR | We ran New Holland 260s for years they ride really nice. We’ve recently switched to Deere, we have W260’s they ride pretty nice as well. We’re generally cutting in the 10 to 15 mph range. I think the New Holland have a slight edge for ride over the Deere though. The New Holland had airbags on the rear axle that made the ride pretty smooth. My personal opinion is the Deere head is much more versatile as far as cutting all types of grass seed and other seed crops. Auto steer is a must in my opinion when you run a rotary get those speeds. It’s almost unbearable to cut at 15 mph per hour without it.
