Just went over an 8 week sermon series on Thessalonians. After Paul’s teaching the people of Thessalonica thought Jesus was coming back in their generation so they stopped working all together. Paul comes back at them with a letter saying to never stop working in life but to always be ready so roll on so we don’t become a burden to others. Instead be the example for others.

That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in their toil - this is the gift of God Ecc 3:13
