Virginia, Northern Neck | I've been dealing with this for many years.
Several Doctors and Nurse Practitioners tried to put me on blood pressure meds.
I moved off from each of them, finally found one that accepts my own readings.
I take my pressure for about 3 weeks before my 6 month appointments.
I take it each day, but at a different time and activity level, and enter it into a spreadsheet.
Then I print it out and bring it to the appointment, and she enters it into the record.
She and I agree that blood pressure meds are bad news.
My dear wife takes 3 different blood pressure meds - they regulate the pressure but the side effects are not great.
