According to tractor data the 4850 and 4955/60 has a good bit more lift capacity than the 4650 and 4755, But I was curious about real world experience. I thought they'd be pretty similar too since I thought the frames were the same. But Deere might have made bigger differences between model numbers back then.?


I think the extra lift is only due to the higher hp units coming with the external lift assist cylinders. Rockshaft and arms are all very similar. I added one cylinder on my 4755. Easy to do. Some are already ordered that way, my 4450 had them when we got it.

I prefer the electric controlled three point, but it would not be a deal breaker either way.

To add, I pulled my 12 row orthman 9300 on a guide hitch without any issues.
