Recall seeing fields of asparagus in western Michigan close to Lake Michigan. Not large fields maybe 20 to 40 acres. Don’t know if asparagus is grown in the far south so available for late season consumption. Got my garden patch that is good for a month or so and that’s enough to satisfy my taste for it.
