| I did switch out the Raven 440. After gettting several cables and having the local dealer help correct a couple of my errrors it is working. I like using the Ag Leader 1200 for anhydrous application. The monitor is set to apply 170 lb/acre. Using tank weights and acres the average is 154 lb/acre.
Now I have a question about the monitoring and application of anhydrous ammonia. Right now there is just a Fasse valve to turn the system on and off and also adjust the rate of anhydrous ammonia. That will be changed for next year. I am using a Raven cooler and it seems to be in good condition. As I go thru the field, the monitor varies from 60 lb/acre to 275 lb/acre. It also will stay at 170 lb/acre for a bit. The variations occur in just a few seconds. I think the variations are fast enough not to effect yield as I am gettinig 154 lb/acre on.
Is this the nature of monitoring anhydrous ammonia application? Or, am I not doing something right, which is probably the case. The valve 1 and valve 2 settings have been changed several times. That made some difference but still have fluculations.
Anybody have any suggestions?
