| I think most dealers list the vin on their websites, so there are thousands available for them to use.
I suspect they are just trying to gain your trust by acting legit. The next step in their scheme is to send you a cashiers check for too much. Then you pay the shippers out of your account with real money.
Or they will send you an email or text that requires you to text a 6 digit code.
Or make you go to a website that installs malware on your computer. Keystroke logger that steals your passwords
