I have a Krause gladiator that does great in soybean stubble but plugs far too frequently in corn stalks when trying to put in fall strips for corn on corn. Currently have a Geringhoff Rota-disc corn head, which I know isn’t ideal. Looking to switch to something that is more forgiving with my strip till setup without having to hit it with the VT first. What have you found to be the most ideal corn head/configuration ahead of the strip till pass in the fall?
Our flag test data is screaming that a confetti roll is absolutely essential. There is no question there is less negative impact on emergence from residue movement post stripping vs the others...."here".
