I’ve had some of the original Premier T-post insulators on since the early 90’s. Some of those still require a pliers to pull the pin out, especially the white ones. They usually need a pincher to get them to click on the post, too.
I’ve had more black ones where the pin gets soft over time. If there is pressure on the wire, like on a curve, replacing the pin with a screw works best. The threads keep it in the hole better than a nail.
