West Central Illinois | When the seedheads are mature they're going to inevitably fall off and thicken up the stand at some point regardless of you doing that job prematurely with a mower, doesn't mean they'll sprout the following year but probably add to the "seed bank". As far as pink eye protection I'd focus on keeping flies off their face the seedheads really aren't the issue. What it really boils down to from when you talk to people that mow pastures routinely each year it's an aesthetic thing. I do not know what it is about some people that they think every blade of grass in this world has to be short and neat looking like their lawn but I guess that's not me. Some people just have to mow the world | |
