I bought almost $100 of pork chops and steak last night. It will feed me for 18 days (my wife will eat some of it possibly). I think that's pretty reasonable eating for quality food. I've been putting a pork chop in the air fryer with garlic salt, salt, pepper, onion salt, turmeric for 8 minutes or so on each side and it's been good. My wife is always concerned about the internal temperature. At a local restaurant we've had Prime Pork Ribeye and get it medium rare, when asked about the temperature the waitress discovered that would be 135°. My wife believes all pork should be 165° but I think that's left over from the days when pigs were fed garbage sometimes and might have trichinosis, I doubt that's likely anymore. Any opinions on pork temperature? |
