Makes sense, it's easier to store water than wind.
The water isn't stored. They are run of the river dams so the flow is always going through at normal river flow. Then we have opening the gates some in the spring to flush the fish to the ocean.
They produce power or change the pitch on the turbines depending on power needs. They can't fluctuate the river level or they will kill a lot of fish. |
