Missouri | I bought a farm 3 years ago that had been in crp for 40 years. The first fall I rotated cows through it and let them eat it to the ground, then brush hogged it to take down sprouts and weeds. The next summer I bought a neighbors hog manure and had it spread on it as well as frost seeding clover in the winter. The place is a very nice grass farm now. I still utilize rotational grazing to build soil and stockpile forage. | |
