I guess I'm totally brain dead
About the poorest written post I've ever read.
The farmer is going to lose $200 -250.
Does that mean:
1. $250? That's huge.
2. $250k?
3. $250 per acre?
But why does it matter? None are true.

I'm taking DCH's post as what's behind Door #3, but it's still a load of crap. $4 corn and $9 beans are not bankruptcy causers, other decisions lead to it.

Stay in denial as long as you can. Reality will bring you around one way or another.

Those numbers are literally within .50 historical average prices... If you can't make money on average prices you need to take a look at your overhead...

Ok let’s look at your overhead.

Can you hire help for historical average wages?
Can you get healthcare for historical average costs?
Can you buy a pickup for a historical average price?
Are your land taxes still at their historical average rates?

I can go on.

Probably can’t even get those things for 12.5% more than historical average.
