95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | In the last week or so, the winds have had gusts of wind to 75 to 80 mph north of me. We have had gusts of 50 or so mph. I would think guts of that speed could wreck some of these windmills. Plus the other problems that others have mentioned.
Sometimes I think the average wind speed dial on weatherbug is way to low. When the trees around me are whipping like they are a helicopter, I get worried.
