Southern Indiana | Brings back memories, none of them good. An 848 was my first round baler, bought at auction around 93. It did not have anything like air bags and I had a manual. I suspect they were on belt balers which came along later. When I got mine the chains were fairly even but the more I ran it the looser one side got and could never get them even. The thing sounds like a rock crusher and absolutely will not make a tight bale. The New Holland dealer was not interested in taking it on trade and the only ones you see around here have trees growing up through them.
