| Yea it’s cuts everything else better than Bermuda, but I cut mostly Bermuda unless there’s a reason to cut a bunch of wheat.
Cutter is timed and I have the reel a little faster than ground speed. Seems to be better at shoving in stuff that catches.
Only other thing besides the bad guards is the pan behind the guards and below the crimp rolls is pretty crusty and doesn’t really shine up good at the bottom. I’ve been meaning to spray it down with EZ slide graphite and see if that helps a bit. It’s bad about having a layer of sand from the gopher mounds just sitting there when I’m in Bermuda. I don’t know how it can stay there in good hay but it does.
There’s some rubber flaps on the edges too I may want to replace. if you catch a windrow it hangs in there and drags.
The be just never run a new or nice one of these so I’m not sure what I’m missing out on. But it sounds like maybe not anything life changing. But probably worth the money for guards since I doubt I’m going to be able to justify something better anytime soon. | |
