Agree there are a lot of bad areas that might only encompass 50 square mile or a little larger the farther south you go. I’m in one of those areas myself with over a foot of rain in June alone. Some places are a complete mess on ground that usually averages over 220 corn and 65 bushel beans on an average year. This year 200 and 60 might catch a lot of it if weather turns decent. Not enough areas to make a big difference but it does indeed take all areas to be average to get to that 181 yield. IA and north half of IL can help pull those averages up but I do think it’ll be have to be exceptionally great rest of the growing season to achieve it. Only takes one storm to ruin a good corn crop especially at the wrong time. Watch for those to happen in late July or august to determine market moving factors. Market will pay attention to issues in late July and august before June every year. I’m hoping for an average year here right now. 220 corn will please me and 65 bushel beans would also please me. This is coming from 240+ and 80+ beans the last couple of years. I’m not expecting over 200 and 60 though
