| Last week I found 2 dead calves when we were checking cows on pasture. Had the vet come out and he posted and said chlostridium was the reason. When we turned the pairs on pasture we vaccinated all calves with convection 8 and pinkeye vaccine. Those calves are doing fine. At turnout time there was about a dozen cows that hadn't calved yet. The calves that are born on grass are the ones we are losing. Since we lost the 2 we have been giving the new borns alpha 7 at birth. Last night when checking I found another dead one. I sure could use some advice on this deal. I should also mention that all calves get optimizer and enforce 3 at birth along with the alpha 7 that we started giving when the problem started.
