Ecsd | We tried grinding it for years at lower rpm and big screen. Just started getting it rolled at the local elevator. It is so much nicer. It flows good. The lambs don’t have so many fines. We feed an extruded soy meal that has some fat removed. And a big gain 9009 mineral packet. It is working really well. Just checked the other day and gains were at .9 lb a day average gain. Edit to add. After we quit feeding ground alfalfa in a separate feeder we quit having so many acidosis issues. Now we mix 75 lb alfalfa per ton of feed.
