Russ you should inform these people that Lake Bonneville didn't dry up to become Great Salt Lake. It actually cut a channel to the Snake River (maybe overflowed because of rain?) and drained out over a century or so. That probable doesn't mean the soil is good though.
We always need rain in SE Alberta but they're calling for a couple inches the next few days so fingers are crossed. Cheers Ed
