West central IL | Interested if you can have an honest and introspective reply to this thought:
I readily agree that in a perfect world, pretty far left policies would be ideal for the bulk of humanity. The ideals are based on fairness, kindness, etc. A lot of admirable qualities. However, in my opinion the implementation of such policies is truly impossible. Human greed and ambition destroy any momentum towards a utopian society. Because of this I think a capitalistic society will always be far superior, with a framework of laws that prevent someone from controlling the whole monopoly board. Here’s the instance in which a democratic republic can help keep a capitalist society from a one sided monopoly board, as you can use the voters greed against them to keep things somewhat “fair”.
On the other hand, in my opinion a large government, socialist society is always going to attract power hungry hungry people to leadership roles. And your bureaucracy is, as with all segments of humanity, going to look out for their own interests and those of their own tribe. Long story short, you can build the perfect socialist society with perfect laws, but once humans are in charge of running it the wheels fall off. Thoughts? | |
