S Illinois | Timing is always more important than amount. People out west have little understanding what excess precip and saturated soil does to a growing crop.
Edit: Interesting how poor the SD yield was in 2019 was with so much precip. Should have been easy to grow a record crop with such above normal precip. But yet the SD corn crop was basically 15 bu less in 2019 than the year before and the year after.
