SW WI | I’ve seen it both ways. Nothing wrong with responsibility and learning work ethic for kids. But I’ve also seen resentment grow into “ this is your dream, not mine. Do your own damn work, I’m out of here as soon as I can”.
More prevalent in the 80’s but I saw guys sitting at the feed mill, talking all afternoon or even stopping for a beer in the middle of the day while the wife and kids “ had better get that done before I’m back”.
I’m not saying this is the case at all with the OP….just relating an example. | |
