Higginsville, MO | Flash drought mainly effects corn from what ive seen. Its from having more than ample rain fall then a sudden hot spike in temperature for a week. The corn doesn't have the root system and could have lost nitrogen from excess rain that basically burns the plant up. Can normally happen from now to mid August in my area. Ground type and variety plays large part. | |
