West Central Illinois | I wouldn't give up on that 14 yr old boy just yet, myself I wasnt raised on a farm and was pretty typical town kid at that age. Hung around my grandpa a little too much late teens early 20s (small grain farm, gpa had a 12-15 cows until early 2000s then got rid of them since weren't making him money). By that time the work bug bit me and I figured out i loved to work and loved farming and about 10 yrs later here I am, turning the home farm into mainly a pasture farm and renting some other farms in the neighborhood to run cows and bale hay on, wife and I are up to around 60 hd and expanding every year. | |
