Subject: Re: Working with wife full time

NW Ohio
I quit working six years ago, just before our daughter was born. Now we have three children and I enjoy every minute being at home with them and helping out on the farm. My husband quit working full time off the farm four years ago and just farms full time. We have an HSA and just hired our first employee two years ago. I do books and payroll for the one employee which requires lots of paper work! Books don't take take long, but I do have to stay on top of things, like monthly taxes and making sure things are in order. I do miss the social part a little, but I've become very active in our church. That seems to be my social outlet for now. Our oldest is in Kindergarten and I do help out in the class a couple hours a day for two days a month. I don't really help much on the farm because of the kids, but I do meals for everyone who is helping out during planting and harvest and run after parts or supplies if needed and help move to another field. My husband is on a few committees to give him some social activity as well and to give each of us a break from each other. Not sure if this is what you wanted to hear, but it is working out great for us and I wouldn't change it for the world!! We always said when we decided to have kids, we did not want someone else raising our children!
