That said, “legacy” bearing your last name doesn’t mean squat in this world. Your son might “come around” to the farm or he may not.
However, you have 2 daughters….. which means that you might have sons-in-law someday. The future is never a “given”. And, there aren’t any “sure bets” either. You can ride your dream until you can’t or you don’t. But, you don’t have to give it up today either.
Literally, my brother and I were having a similar discussion about priorities and prioritizing the time we have -esp. with family time and livestock. IHMANKY gave a great witness too.
I have no advice other than I wish you peace in your decisions. (And maybe a break for a lazy afternoon fishing) | |
