Here at least I would plant Sorghum Sudan as it will regrow and you can dormant graze it late in the fall. More flexibility in my opinion. Our regrowth after a hay cut last year grew to 6 ft tall. We grazed it after it froze and after we had the calves weaned. It wasn’t high quality feed at that point but we weren’t expecting it to be high quality either.
