Subject: German (foxtail) millet grazing

Central Nebraska
We are toying with the idea of planting some german millet after the wheat comes off next week to either make hay or to graze. We've done the millet hay before, makes good hay but was on the higher side of nitrates. I have a couple fields that are beside 1 of my pastures and toyed with drilling it and then turning cows into it after getting a foot tall. Has anyone ever grazed German millet? The info I have on it say that it doesn't regrow and that makes it better for hay.
We've already kept the cows home 3 weeks longer than normal and the grass doesn't good. We did get 1-3" of rain 2 nights ago.
