I've heard of guys using electrolytes when they take cows to shows to keep them from dehydrating due to changing water sources often. I think it would be expensive to use every day. For example, this product is about $5 per pound and treats 64 gallons: https://www.premier1supplies.com/p/bovine-bluelite

A dairy cow drinks about 40 gallon per day. $3 per day is $1000 per year. 200 cows would be $200k per year......

Maybe there are cheaper products?
