Ia) | Last time we had pp acres here, (‘13 I believe) there was a lot of hoopla about whether or not the guys that used corn as a cover while cashing pp checks would be allowed to harvest the cc. In the end, the livestock guys that wanted to harvest the corn for silage were allowed to. Kinda coined the term ‘free feed” as I recall. I so wished I had been feeding my own steers at the time. Point is, make sure you’ll be able to harvest per your insurance pp rules and regs first! | |
