| I just saw this posted about Harry Bettis https://www.wlj.net/obituaries/harry-little-bettis-1934-2025/ I always had a good time sitting with and along side Harry at bull sales. Harry always bought good bulls, he would make you ride up in bidding. Old Harry kind of reminded me of my dad's father wearing his Stetson Open Road felt hat and good but worn chore coat.
ICC's son I'm betting knows Harry well from bull sales. I had to go to buying Black Angus bull because Harry would top the sales here locally buying the Red Angus bulls here close. ICC knows my neighbor north of me that raises reds, blacks and Herefords. Old George delivered some bulls to me and was cussing Harry. I commented on Harry buying all the top reds in his sale. He replied that damn Harry's got his first dollar made, jokingly! Spends all that money on bulls, but refuses to spend any money on a trailer to haul them!
Harry would drag a wore out trailer, and end gate ready to fall off. George always delivered bulls, but Harry would get money off hauling his own. But George wouldn't feel safe in letting Harry out of yard without a log chain holding gate closed. Harry took a log chain from George every year.
