Southren Illinois | A lot of this was done with the consildation of agriculture. Back in the 80's when I was in high school i worked in the melon fields. Melon farmers grew 40-50 acres, his labor force consisted of 5-6 of his kids, extended families kids or neighbor kids. Today the melon farmers grow 4-500 ac of melons, it takes an army of workers to take care of the acres. To get the volume of workers they need in the small time frame needed is impossible and understandely so. To be treated like a slave for part time work with no benefits, no thanks I'll find other work. | |
