Usually, south if Des Moines the crop gets progressively poorer to look at, wet spots, poor emergence, poor spacing.
Friday afternoon, it looks like they all took classes on how to fertilize, put in pattern tile, and bough Exactamerge planters with hydralic downforce, and actually planted more than 15,000 seeds per acre.
Friday evening to every bit of bullish out of my thought process. Selling a little more 25 and a bit of 26 today. I will cover the upside with calls if needed.
It appears that Iowa today has a real chance at 225+. Weak spots are pre Easter planting, but most got replanted and looks great. | |
