Subject: RE: Look to Covid and the cattle market.

He's not wrong. In early March 2020 I contacted our state governor, several US Representatives, etc. warning them they better get a handle on Covid as it will not play out well if this rolls through our packing plants. Well....nothing happened and we all know how it played out. What amuses me most is the huge cry for local slaughter houses to help in the fray and the pledges to never going back to Walmart for my meat again!!!! Even members of my own family whining and carrying on till I donated and processed a cull for them so they would have hamburger that didn't cost them $10 a pound. Ya that lasted about till the next time the freezer was empty and Walmart was opened for business. Beef is cheaper there and it's too much work to process our own meat. Besides I have ball games to attend and entertainment that I missed out on to catch up on.

No I don't agree with illegal aliens existing in this country, and an extreme amount of national security has been risked by allowing them here, but without them the meat/processing, dairy, and even a large portion of the poultry and pork industries would cease to exist. In the last weeks and days this world has become a very turbulent place, and the US has been thrown in the middle of many bad situations, which will and has put many countries on a path to exact revenge. I guess the question is do we as Americans want to risk the potential of being hit with a substantial terrorist attack by a sleeper cell ICE is not allowed to address, or are we willing to risk losing food production, processing, and the consequential market collapse that will go with it?
