| To be fair the USDA prints a ridiculous number ever year thats too high and most of you guys and pro farmer Parrott it. Bottom line is 181 isn't statistically likely. 179 is best case scenario as that the best yield ever recorded. As of right now I would say the crop will be between 177-179. If we get a hot and dry July then we start talking 174-176. By the way.....the 10 year average is 174. If we start talking soybeans, keep in mind that yield record was set NINE years ago. The USDA is to high to begin with and the weather has not been ideal in the west and the southeast. Perfect weather from here in out wouldn't get us to 181 and average weather probably sticks us close to 177 and a bean yield at 51.5-50.5
