| Iowa 83 - 6/15/2025 13:16 My opinion won't be popular. In my experience, unless you’re using Treflan, incorporation hurts more than helps, unless you get no rain to incorporate. Incorporation streaks the herbicide anywhere its a little too wet.
The best pre is laid on top right after planting and rained in immediately. No dirt is moved after the chemical goes on and you have a continuous blanket over the entire field.
But life isn’t always perfect so sometimes you do what you have to do knowing it’s not going to be ideal.
