EC SoDak | If I remember the term ”Dreamer” correctly, that’s a kid brought over the border into the US illegally. Unfortunately for them, their parents made a decision that impacts their life. That does not negate the fact they do not have a right to become a citizen. Blame the parents, not that we are a country with laws. I’d imagine their parents built a life as an adult here even as an illegal, certainly they can build a life in a country they are a citizen of.
You are aware that you lose credibility when your side constantly brings up Nazis, correct? The situations are nothing a like, at all. Who will do the work? Well, if we should reform anything, it’s work visas if we can’t find the labor for the work. Although, much like row crops and other industries, we can innovate our way through a bit of it. If you come up north, you find plenty citizens that work in these industries the folks down south say can’t be filled. However, they do venture up here from time to time and what you find is depressed wages, more competition for resources, housing etc and prices go up, suppressing buying power. We can ignore the fact that teenage pregnancies skyrocketed in my small town once certain people started coming up here taking jobs and buying minor girls alcohol so they’d hang out with them. So, no, I don’t share the same affinity for illegal immigrants as you do.
Edit to add: If you’re using illegal labor, you are knowingly breaking the law. I, nor anybody around me that farms, use illegal immigrants, so it is very possible to not use them. You may have to pay more or farm less ground, but it’s certainly possible.
