IN | Have lots of surface drainage actually just can’t keep up with the amount of rain this field encounters on a big rain. 3 inch rain is about 6.7 million gallon just on this field and we’re at the bottom of the watershed so we receive probably another 150-200 acres of rain from neighboring fields that all has to come our way. Just a lot for it to handle at once. If you look close at picture 2 you can see I’m standing at the end of the waterway where it dumps into an open ditch. Plenty of tile in the field but it hasn’t had a chance to empty out all month | |
