We haven’t gotten the volume of rain but it’s been relentless.
The small farms are mostly done, not hard to plant everything on a 100ac farm if you have a 6 row planter. Bigger farms are really struggling. Most are under 50% planted and pulling the plug. 2 dairies have to keep planting, one is at 60ac out of a normal 500 and the other at 600ac of a normal 2500
We are the exception with 310ac of corn in out of a planned 330 and 165ac of soy out of 225. We run a power harrow and fully mounted planter and that has let us go when the surface is dry but it’s still slime down below | |
