South Central MN | Looks like what we had here last year. This year is turning wet now too, kind of miss June of '22 when we got hardly a drop all month, or '23 with a few more drops but still so dry. The soil here is clay-loam and holds water really well... Too well at times. Can go a month with no rain but get 4-5+ inches and you won't be turning a wheel for a week or more.
Not sure if you have cool temps also but the crop isn't growing much up here right now. Only good thing about cool temps is it does save a few extra plants from dying under water. If it gets hot when the plant is under water it may only have 24 hours before it dies. When cool could be 48 hours, long enough for the tile to hopefully pull away some of that extra water. | |
