It's called tertiary recovery. They been using co2 for that for decades at least. The inject liquid c02 into the zone through injection wells and the c02 expands exponentially and forces the liquids out of the well. They can do the same thing with waste water from the well production. They don't need pipeline for that kind of recovery because trucks are sufficient.
