Stephen Miller is trump's advisor anti immigration and known to be involved in white nationalist movement. During Bush term gang of 8 bipartisan group had immigration reform and border reform. Passed the Senate. The hard right (Stephen Miller being involved) put a stop to the bill. Boehner never brought it up for a vote.
I do believe many of us although divided are in the same boat while a few in luxury liners keeping the divide. I dont think Trump will solve the immigration problem. Yes needs be solved. As example Dairy Farms are year round work and do not qualify for the seasonal VISA permits for immigrants, yet many immigrants work on dairy farms. (legal ?) As someone said "alot of moving parts" yes it is. As long Stephen Miller involved, naw nothing will happen I dont think, but maybe? trump gets enough people mad, maybe. Trump changes his tune when things start to go bad like the bond market.
Eventually as many businesses, farms get hit and employees removed although I believe small amount eventually add up. Billions lost in tourism. Companies having hard time making decisions based on tarriffs up and down. Some small companies lost business from buyers overseas as they boycott. The economy has been resilent, but I dont think it will last. Recession will eventually come from a thousand cuts.
