Father in law had 3 accidents over 5 years before they took his license and not sure he fully stopped driving then
Here when you turn 80 you have to go in for an eye check and comprehension check of drawing a clock face with numbers and hands at certain time
Used to have to do a drive test and written test too but that is not required anymore
Having done the test it seems pretty simple but is supposed to stop people who do not know what is happening anymore.
Talking to a cousin couple years younger than me and he told me he had quit driving and sold his car so he was not tempted to drive again.
His eyes are not good but no one told him to stop he just knew it was time.
Said he still uses his valid drivers license for ID but will not go for test when he turns 80 | |
