WC IL | My neighbor had a field of Channel corn that was so purple it looked black about a month ago.
Can happen to any if conditions are right. And some hybrids are experiencing the same deficiency without showing any purpling. Have never heard of purple corn hurting yield at the end, as long as it was weather related and not something like fallow ground syndrome.
