USDA never cares about being too wet. Is kan, mizz,s.Ill,S Ind,ohio too wet? Wis,Mn, Daks short on GDUs. Sam

SE Kansas and SW Missouri are still wet...We may get another 1 to 1.5 inches in the next 5 days..Yesterday I drove Hiway 43 from Joplin to Nevada,MO..This goes thru some of the best crop ground in that part of the state..Over half of the fields looked ugly and I doubt that they ever come out of it..I did see one field that drains good where the corn was tasseling..

I'm in a area that usually gets its poor corn yields from drought but this might be the year that its from too much rain..This might happen once in 30-40 years...Last year at this time we had the best looking corn crop ever...It had the potential for 180-200 but it didnt rain enough at the end..It still made 130-150 which was far better than 2022-2023 when it wasnt harvested due to drought
