Any chance the packers will have to cut back the kill #s due to labor shortages?
Nothing would surprise me out of those nice guys. Back in the 90's to set the market for the week, one cattle buyer would pay a big feedyard in SW Ks more for their show list if they reported a different price to the reporting agency, holding the market back. My best man that didn't have a clue what I was doing at the time, was drinking a beer at an older mutual friend's house along with the cattle buyer, who was bragging about this. My buddy told me this story about 10 years after it happened, a few years after I had moved on from running babies. |
